Evaluation

| Alpha provides psychosexual evaluations for both adult and adolescent
sex offenders. The evaluations provide information regarding the
potential for recidivism, treatment amenability, supervision concerns,
potential risk issues, and treatment goals. Other specific concerns can
be addressed after coordinating with the referring party. |
|
| The adult psychosexual evaluation
includes: an interview with the client, a review of available documentation and records,
appropriate collateral contacts and psychological testing (MMPI-2, Millon Clinical Inventory, and
Multiphasic Sex Inventory). The psychologist provides a general
description of psychological and social functioning as well as
recommendations regarding treatment needs and goals. Additional
psychological testing is available when appropriate. |
|
The adolescent psychosexual evaluation includes: an
interview with the teen, a collateral interview with one or both
parents, collateral contacts as indicated, completion of a psychological
assessment test (Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory), and a review of
available records. As with the adult assessment, the psychologist
provides a general description of psychological and social functioning
as well as recommendations regarding treatment needs and goals.
Additional psychological testing is available when
appropriate. |

The above assessments can be enhanced by combining them with
psychophysiological assessments such as the polygraph, the
plethysmograph, or the Abel Screening for Sexual Interest™.
